Replacing a headgasket on a 95 325i’s as big of a PITA as you thought it could be.
Step 1 remove EVERTHING.
Step 2 dont fuck up.
Step 3 hope it works

Looks familiar! Did you overheat it? Back in college my friends 328is decided it didn’t need it’s head gasket anymore after getting a little hot too many times. Stupid 90s bummer cooling systems...
***bimmer. Leaving it tho

Why did you take the front of the car off? Not necessary.

I think replacing the head gasket should be a rite of passage for every BMW owner.

At first the motor was gonna be pulled and the front end replaced because its damaged, then my brother traded it to me and It was already off so may aswell make my life easier. Its proven beneficial, because lifting that head off alone was hard enough, I couldnt imagine having less room.

My brother bought it for $500 a few weeks ago with coolant in the oil then traded it to me for a mercedes that also had a bad head gasket. Aaand now its time to fix the issue.

That’s kind of awesome actually. “hey dude... I’d rather fix your blown head gasket than mine... trade?”
